Multi-Family Outlook in 2012
The multi-family housing sector showed real growth in 2011. In November, starts jumped 25.3%, while single-family starts rose 2.3%. Expectations are for multi-family construction to continue to grow in 2012. Sixty percent of the jobs created in 2011 have been for 20-34 year-olds who are a prime age group for renting.
